MISSION STATEMENT

The purpose of this church is the edification of Christians through the teaching of God’s word. The salvation of souls and the worldwide proclamation of God’s saving grace expressed in the shed blood and finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary. The promotion of Godly worship and the defense of "the faith once delivered" until He comes.

THE DOCTRINAL STATEMENT

Scripture

We believe that God inspired all scripture and has completely preserved it for us in the "Word of God," the "Bible." It is the only authority that we can rightfully use to guide our worship, service and conduct.
2Tim. 3:16,17; 2Pet. 1:20,21; Matt. 22:29; Acts 17:11; Rev. 22:18,19.

Godhead

We believe in only one God existing in three persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost yet one in the Godhead, eternal, sovereign and perfect in every way.
1Cor. 8:4-6; 1John 5:7; 2Cor. 13:14; 1Tim. 6:14,15;
Psalms 102:24-27.

Jesus Christ (The Son)

We believe that Jesus is both the Son of God and God the Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, Mary. He lived a perfect life, then gave His life as the only sacrifice, holy, acceptable and sufficient to redeem all mankind. His resurrection and ascension to heaven then guaranteed our justification. Today He sits at the Father’s right hand as our intercessor.
John 20:28,31; Col. 2:9; Heb. 1:3, 7:24-28; Matt. 1:18; Rom. 3:24,25; 1Pet. 1:3,4; 1Tim. 2:5; 1John 2:2,22.

Holy Ghost/Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the person of the Godhead that today reproves the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment; Who also regenerates and baptizes into the Body of Christ those who believe. The Holy Spirit indwells, teaches, bestows gifts, guides and seals the believer unto the coming day of redemption.
John 16:7-16; John 14:26; John 7:38,39; Titus 3:5;
1Cor. 12:11-13; Eph. 1:12-14.

Satan

We believe that Satan, as are all angels, is a created being. He is known today as Satan, the Devil, the Prince of the Power of the Air and the god of this world. Among other things his work is that of blinding the minds of unbelievers but he shall be cast into the Lake of Fire forever at the end of the millennial reign of Christ.
Isa. 14:12-17; 2Cor. 4:3,4; Eph. 2:1-2, 6:11-12;
Col. 1:16; Rev. 20:10.

The Fall of Man

We believe that God created man in His own image, but because of Adam’s sin fellowship with God was broken. From this time forward all mankind has inherited a sinful nature making us enemies of God. We believe also that the natural man has neither the desire nor the ability to reconcile himself to God.
Gen. 1:26,27; Rom. 3:9-12, 5:12; Eph. 2:1-3; Psa. 14:2-3.

Salvation

We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again for our justification, and that it is the Holy Spirit that draws men to Christ through hearing the "Word of God." The grace of God saves each person through faith in the shed blood of Jesus, works having no part in salvation.
1Tim. 1:14-17; Rom. 3:23-28; 4:23-5:1; Eph. 2:4-9.

Security

We believe once a person receives Jesus Christ as their personal savior that God has promised eternal life, the Holy Ghost being the guarantee.
John 3:16, 5:24, 10:25-28, 17:11; Jude 1; 1Pet 1:3-5; Rom. 8:33-39; Eph. 1:13-14; 1John 5:13.

The Eternal State of

The Saved - at death the soul passes immediately into the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ until the resurrection of the body, at His coming. Glorified, sinless and perfect we will be forever in the presence and service of God.
1Cor. 15:51-53; John 14:1-3.
The Lost (unbeliever) - at death the soul moves into conscious misery, in Hell, until the Great White Throne Judgment when the body will be reunited with the soul and cast into the Lake of Fire for everlasting punishment, torment and separation from God.
This is not annihilation! There is only heaven or hell.
John 3:17,18, 5:28,29; Luke 16:19-24; Rev. 20:11-15.

Church

We believe in the New Testament Church, "a called-out assembly" of believers. The church is the local, autonomous, group of baptized believers through which God has chosen to do His work in this present age with Christ as its head. God has commissioned the church to win the lost, baptize believers and edify the saints.
Matt. 28:18-20; Eph. 1:17-23, 4:7-12; Col. 1:14-19.

Ordinances

We believe that God has given the church the authority to perform two ordinances.
Baptism - the immersing in water, after a profession of ones faith in Jesus Christ unto salvation, as a means of identifying the Christian with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, administered in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Rom. 6:3-5; Matt. 3:16-17, 28:19.

The Lord’s Supper - a memorial conducted in remembrance of Christ’s atoning death and His imminent return for the saved. 1Cor. 11:2, 23-26
We practice "close" communion (inviting to the Lord’s table only those who profess and practice "like faith" leaving the decision to participate up to the individual.)

Missions

We believe the Church is commissioned to make disciples from all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to observe the commandments of Christ and His word.
Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8.

Separation and Unity

We believe the saved should be separated unto the Lord Jesus Christ, necessitating holy living in all personal and ecclesiastical associations and relationships.
Rom. 12:1-2; 1Cor. 6:19-20; Titus 2:13-3:11; Jam. 3:13-4:11; 1Pet. 2:9-17; 1John 2:15-17.

Creation

We believe that God created the heavens and the earth, including all life, "each after its own kind", by a direct act and not by any process of evolution.
Gen. 1&2; John 1:3; Col. 1:16-17.

Future Things

We believe in the bodily, personal, pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ. That He will come before the seven year Tribulation period to catch His church, coming only in the air, and that He will with His church at the close of the Tribulation to judge the living nations and to set up His Kingdom.
1Thes. 4:13-18; Acts 1:9-11; Rev. 19:11-21.

Use of the Doctrinal Statement

The preceding doctrinal statement is a systematic statement of that which our church believes to be the teaching of the Bible as the Word of God, and that which our church teaches and preaches in its services and bible school. It is also the standard to which all church officers, teachers, and pastors of the church are asked to subscribe. A legitimate distinction is made between one’s having only a limited understanding of a certain doctrine and rejection of that doctrine. A person need not refuse to give assent to a certain doctrine or to the entire Doctrinal Statement because he does not totally understand it.

Bible Standard

The Authorized King James Bible shall be the standard for all English language teaching, preaching or other activities where the bible is used.
